UNSBA CALLS BAR

The University of Nigeria Student Bar Association (Unsba) is holding her call to bar ceremony for the last admitted students into the law faculty.

The call to the bar is a legal term in law where persons must be qualified to be allowed to argue in court on behalf of
another party, and are then said to
have been "called to the bar" or to have received a "call to the bar".

Each year, newly admitted law students are traditionally initiated into the law society of the University through a process which usually involves oral and written interview to select those that will be qualified to be called into the bar.

The interview is conducted by the respective chambers to which every student must belong. The results are then displayed on the notice board before the date of the call to bar.

Although the call to bar may be optional as with every other obtainable practice, the sanction one may face for missing the event is equally the same with that of professional call to bar.

On behalf of the Unsba Media Team, we wish to congratulate the new entrants into the University bar.

By Izu Aniagu on behalf of Unsba Media Team.
