Diary of That Female Law Student

Today is Thursday and well, am home. You know, 'a house is not a home, I hate this song.. Is a house really a home when all your loved ones are gone?'(P. Diddy in I'm coming home)... And yes all my loved ones are here, thank God. Today, being home I'll like to talk on something that the society wants to go into extinction...dreams.
From the days of watching Lizzie Mcguire(this is what dreams are made of) till now, dreams exist but the question is do we really follow our dreams. Now am not talking of that night you dreamt you got married to a prince. Am talking of dreams, that thing you want to do so badly. My phone dictionary refers to a dream as an ambition or hope.
Now bringing it down to us. Is the study of law a dream to you, or is it just something you had to do cos your parents told you so or cos you got the admission or maybe because the society suggested you study law cos you look like a lawyer.
The fact is being a law student can be frustrating but its that dream that makes you not to relent. You know many people in this faculty would rather be studying something else rather than law. Some would pick music or theatre arts over law anytime, anyday but because law is the most prestigious course in the arts, they just had to settle for the 'best'. Recently, I met an upcoming writer fresh out of the university with a great result. And No,he did not study English. Yet this amiable young man has decided to damn all the consequences, damn the fact that he may not make money that early in life, damn what his parents have to say, damn that girls may not want to get involved with an NFA(No Future Ambition).
We are leaders of tomorrow and as leaders of tomorrow we get to lead other leaders in the persons of the next generation. After all is said and done will you be able to tell them yes I followed my dream, you had better follow yours too or would you just muse and act like our parents. Remember, the greatest contentment you get is from following that dream.
So on a lighter note, this hols, write that song, take that dance lesson, apply for that internship, ask that lady out, talk frankly with your parents about your future plans,go on that missions and just go on and on to make that dream come true and make YOU happy even if it entails twerking*tongue out*. Have a dream fulfilled holiday. Bye hunaes? TFLS
